The official London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Results app is now available from the Windows Phone Marketplace. The app includes information about all the timing of all the events taking place, information on all the sports and athlete profiles. During the Olympics (25th July - 12th August) and Paralympics (29th August - 9th September) it will have live updates, results and medal table information.

The London 2012 app can be downloaded from the Windows Phone Marketplace for free. At the time of writing it is only available in the US and Canada, but global availability is expected to follow in the next few days (Marketplace can sometimes take a few days to fully roll out an app). We'll take a more detailed look at the app once it is available in the UK.

A companion app, London 2012 Join In, which is a mobile guide that will help people "plan, enjoy and share their Games experience for the Olympics and Paralympics" will be made available shortly.
