Snapchat is a photo messaging application that allows users to send media to each other. The key selling point is that these media snippets are only available for a set amount of time - when you send something you can set the time for each of them to 'self-destruct', Mission Impossible style, from the Snapchat server.
Huyn continues to show his flair in designing interfaces that work well in the Windows Phone environment while reflecting the nature of the base application. Along with the core features of a Snapchat client, he has also added a number of Windows Phone specific features to improve the usablity of the client.
These include support for camera lenses, smart use of the live tile, and extensions in the Pictures Hub to allow for easier sharing of your media.
The full features list is as follows:
- share pictures and videos with snapchat users
- post snaps on your story
- see stories, best friends and score of your friends
- draw and add text to your pictures
- search snapchat friends on your phone
- save your picture on your phone
- front and back camera
- manage your snapchat privacy
- notifications with custom ringtone
6chat is a free download, and you can find it via the AAWP App Directory.
