Description

Hashtag Face-off is an entertainment application accessible to anyone of any age. Like the TV show "The price is right" competitors must guess the price of the products presented on the screen. The twist is that instead of a desired bid price the user has to think of a word and insert it into the application. Then Hashtag Face-off checks out how many times the word has been tweeted in the last 5 minutes. That number will represent the offer that you will submit for the item.

The application is a simple (but addictive) game that requires players to use their knowledge of the most discussed topics on the web to win. Thereby, the competitors must operate on two levels, one is estimating the market value of a specific product and the other, assessing the popularity of a topic on the Internet. In other words The price is right™ + Twitter™ = Hashtag Face-off.
