Just six short months since the deal with Microsoft was signed, the first two devices in Nokia’s all-new Lumia range have been launched. The Nokia Lumia 800 is a flagship device, bearing more than a similar resemblance to the much-lauded Nokia N9. The Nokia Lumia 710 is an affordable smartphone offering a new alternative to people looking for a mid-level smartphone.
The key point for me is that from inking the contract, to delivering a handset, has taken only six months. A live feed from the production line in Finland was relayed to the Nokia World stage during the keynote, and the devices are shipping right now to markets in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.
