25 Years of Innovation - by Nokia

Published by at

Nokia, just one of the current Windows Phone partners, has put up a super-glossy four minute reminder of its innovations over the last 25 years, from the first mobiles through the advanced audio telephony codecs today - it's a good watch (embedded below) and is a reminder, among other things, of the sheer number of telephony patents stacked up at Nokia HQ (remember that Apple had to pay up earlier this year?).

There's one cheeky swipe at those who say that Nokia was late to the 'touchscreen' era, pointing out that Nokia was demonstrating touchscreen interfaces as early as 1996 (and I'd add that I loved my Nokia 7710 back in 2004 - fullscreen touch on top of Symbian, a full three years before the iPhone).
