HTC and Windows Phone reaches out to radio for more marketing

Published by at

You know what you need to hear on the radio when driving down the road in your car? An advert for the HTC Radar 4G. That's what Adriel Mingo picked up and has blogged about at "The Radio Ad Heard Round The World".

In that space of about 2 minutes he even mentioned how the phone’s camera was unique in that it offered face tagging built right into the phone. Lastly he concluded by restating how good the phone and the deal was. I couldn’t help but think of how many other people were listening to that station at the same time I was. This is what Windows Phone needs. More ads, more people who really demonstrate Windows Phone’s power and advantages over its rivals and trust me, there are many. Kudos to whoever set it up and whoever that guy is.

We're in total agreement here, the only thing that is going to make a dent in the marketshare is to have millions of people buying windows Phone. That means making people want to buy a Windows Phone. Which means they need to hear about it, more than once, in different situations. If radio ads work, then more of them please!

What might be my one disappointment is that the subtle reference in Mingo's headline to Bobby Thomson is going to fly right over Steve and Rafe's head and over the fence...
