Windows Phone is turning heads and looking to the future

We're "All About Windows Phone", and you can probably guess what "Windows Phone Metro" likes as well, but their recent editorial should be read by everyone. Don’t Look Now, But Windows Phone is Becoming a Hit, looks at all the major areas and comes to a promising conclusion.

From writer Jason Lefevers:

This thing is happening people. Microsoft’s scrappy up-and-comer is turning heads and it’s only a matter of time before a larger number of people grow tired of stepping on a bus or train and having the same device (iPhone) as the ten people next to them. But it’s not just being different for the sake of being different. It’s functional and simple nd makes sense to most new users within minutes.

This is a solid platform with a growing app catalog. It’s smooth and stable like no other OS out there and it’s reasonably priced in a wide range of hardware that sits in between the singular iPhone and the thousands of unnamed Android “flagship” handsets. It’s Windows Phone and it’s building up steam.

We'd agree with that. The question is whether Microsoft and it's hardware partners can keep up this inital momentum and translate it into the volume of sales that will be needed in 2012 and beyond.
