Windows Phone is something completely different. Unlike Android and iOS, it doesn’t have the ‘square’ icons all over the place. It doesn’t have a sanitized super clean look like iOS or Android’s menu system, which can be a mini guessing game! All its apps are somewhat ‘streamlined’ making navigation simple; and its operating system is sleek, and fast. I just love every bit of its interface!
There's a lot more enthusiasm and pictures from Ben throughout this post - when was the last time you read about any technology that created such a buzz when people simply picked it up an started to use it? But will that translate to a successful year for Microsoft's mobile operating system?
Last I heard, the Windows Marketplace is now one of the fastest growing mobile application stores – closing in on over 50,000 apps in just 18 months! So with the apps steadily growing, great battery life, killer software interface, there’s really nothing I hate about Windows Phone, I just want a screenshot feature. It sure won’t kill the competitors but I predict Windows Phone will be more than well spoken of in 2012.
Welcome to the club, Ben, and we agree. it's going to be a great year for Windows Phone.
