After two years, Tony Redmond has moved away from his iPhone 3GS to Windows Phone, specifically the Lumia 800. He posted his initial thoughts last week, and being a typical tech writer, has more observations on Redmond's smartphone OS and the Nokia hardware.

...the Nokia Lumia 800 is a very nice piece of hardware and I really like the graphical interface that Windows Phone delivers. The combination is very different to the iPhone but there’s goodness and badness in that, just like most other things that come to mind.

Redmond's journey is still going on, and I hope he continues writing about his ongoing experiences with the Lumia 800. It's not been smooth sailing for him, but it's an honest look, and that's the best anyone can ask for when having their hardware reviewed.
