Stephen Elop believes a third ecosystem is "very important for AT&T"

Speaking to the New York Times Bits blog, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop hit all the marketing points for the Nokia Lumia 900, but also touched on the relationship with AT&T both of the handset manufacturer but Windows Phone as a whole.

When asked "Will [the AT&T] sales people be given incentives in stores to sell your phone?" Elop replied:

We don’t share specifics of our in-store marketing plans. But I think it’s safe to say it’s very important for AT&T that this third ecosystem get established.

That's our emphasis by the way.

Elop also talks about Nokia's return to America, designing the 900 for the US market, and what Google's purchase of Motorola Mobility might mean. It's short, but a good primer on the discussion points Nokia would like us all to focus on.
