4th and Mayor updated with QR Code and Menus support

Published by at

It's another update from Jeff Wilcox for 4th and Mayor, with this build adding in support for Foursquare QR Codes, and the new "restaurant menu" feature that the FourSquare site added on January 18th. Version 3.2 should be in the marketplace now for you to update your installation or download one of the best mobile FourSquare not just for Windows Phone, but for any platform.

The full change log can be found at the 4th and Mayor blog. In addition to the QR Code and Menu updates, v3.2 also takes car of some small user-reported issues in the code, the geo-location accuracy has been tightened up, and some UI elements have been shifted around to accommodate the new features.

To my mind though, the most impressive thing on show here is the update cycle of 4th and Mayor. Wilcox is not happy leaving the app as-is, when something new pops up to use, such as the restaurant menus, he's putting it into the application. A three day turnaround for a new feature launched by FourSquare to it showing up in this third party app is very fast coding. Watching the updates come in mean existing users have the confidence that the app is always going to be current, which means they are happy to talk and recommend it, which means more users, more feedback, and more positive recommendation loops on social networks.
