TripAdvisor update embraces Metro UI

Trip Advisor took a fair bit of flak from the Windows Phone world with the first iteration of its mobile application on the platform. Given the app was using the iOS user interface and paradigm, I'm pretty sure they were expecting it. But the latest update pushes all that to the side as they've drunk the Metro kool-aid and switched to the three "p's" of panoramas, pivots, and pages.

You still have access to all the same information and user-written reviews of hotels, attractions, and restaurants, but it feels a lot better doing this in a Metro style on a Metro styled device! Being a mobile application, geo location is used to find points of interest close to you, and it's really quick to read the user reviews of somewhere to help you make a snap decision.

I also like the ability to pin not just the application, but individual points of interest as live tiles for quick access while travelling. I could easily see myself pin a few places before I go out for the day while travelling.
