Milkman closely follow the Metro style guide with good use of panorama elements and allowing typography to provide the separation between UI elements. It also makes excellent use of its live tile, displaying a task counter and reminders when a task is due.
Remember the Milk (RTM), which launched in October 2005, has more than 3.7 million users, making it one of the most popular web based task / notes sync services. It was an early pioneer of the keep-things-simple approach to web apps, avoiding bloated functionality and focusing on excellence in user experience. In its design Milkman matches that ethos, making, in keeping with the chromeless style of Metro UI.
Milkman is an unofficial third party client for RTM. It is not endorsed by the service, but does use the public APIs, which should guarantee the long term sustainability of the application's functionality.
