Sshhhh... can you see Splinter Cell sneaking into Xbox Live?

Say it quietly, but this week's Xbox Live title is the stealth game "Splinter Cell: Conviction". The Tom Clancy branded title is built around being quiet, moving slowly, not being seen, but still completing the mission. In this version of this increasingly episodic genre, your daughter has been kidnapped, and you (playing as Sam Fisher) need to get her back.

It's all about the stealth - and frankly while I'm an "all guns blazing and through the front door" kinda soldier, lots of people love this as a  genre, and will be super excited to see this features list:

  • The Mark & Execute feature allows you to mark multiple targets then quickly eliminate them all at once.
  • The Last Known Position indicates where your enemies think you are, allowing you to outflank and eliminate them.
  • Get behind enemies without being noticed and kill them in one hit!
  • Projected texts inform you of objectives and guide you through the level.
  • Get Sam behind cover to hide and dodge enemy fire.

It's a big download at 164MB, so the Windows Marketplace will only let you use Wi-Fi to grab the code. Splinter Cell: Convictions can be found in the AAWP App Directory, and costs £3.99/$4.99. A trial version is available, and our review will be along shortly... once we find where we've hidden our phone.
