Windows Phone User Group meets in London on March 21st

The Windows Phone User Group (WPUG) are planning to hold their latest developer focused event in London (UK) on March 21st. Topics set to be covered include "creating a MVVM solution that also work with MonoTouch and MonoDroid", "porting between iPhone and Windows Phone" and the joys of bringing XNA to other platforms".

In addition, each WPUG meeting includes a portion of time dedicated to application demos, giving developers the chance to showcase their latest creations and receive feedback from their peers.

Event details:

Continuing with our theme from last month, we'll be continuing to look beyond Windows Phone and the lessons we can learn from other platforms and the lessons, knowledge and experiences we can take with us if we take Windows Phone apps to other platforms too.

Some WPUG regulars will be sharing their experiences:

  • Stuart will be talking about his experiences with creating an MVVM solution that also works with MonoTouch & MonoDroid
  • Paul will be talking about his experiences of porting applications between iPhone and Windows Phone and vice versa.
  • Dominique and Dean will be talking about MonoGame and bringing the joys of XNA to other platforms too.
  • Application demos
The event will take place at The Vibe Bar (91 Brick Lane, E1 6QL)

If the London location or date doesn't work for you there's also another meeting scheduled to take place in Cardiff (Wales) a week later on March 28th.

What is WPUG?

WPUG exists to help UK based developers who are interested in Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform learn from and with each other. We hold monthly meetings in London (and occasionally elsewhere) where there are talks, demos and discussions. Plus swag, prizes and beer! Whether you’re new to phone/mobile development or have been doing it for years you’re most welcome to come to a meeting.

WPUG is an independent group and does not charge for membership or meeting attendance. We simply ask that you come willing to participate in discussion or share your knowledge and that you register if you’re planning on coming to a meeting.

You can sign up for either of the March meetings via the WPUG.net website.
