New Zealand reviewer reckons the Lumia is "the fastest and best" Windows Phone

Chris Gardner of the Waikato Times in New Zealand has reviewed the Lumia 800, and decided that the Nokia handset is "the fastest and the best" Windows Phone handset. He's been using four Windows Phone handsets in the last year and a half, and it's the Lumia that has him excited.

There's nothing new here for Windows Phone fans  the Lumia 800 comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango installed, although I have not seen the operating system perform so quickly. The Lumia 800 lacks an expansion card slot, so the 16GB of internal user memory will have to be enough. Syncing my contacts book from Hotmail, I found 16GB was more than enough for scores of albums. That's another thing I like about this phone. Its high-definition speaker is located at the bottom of the handset, so you don't lose sound fidelity when you lay it on its front or back  a problem with other phones I have trialled.

While it is a review written for a general reader, it gets over the idea of Windows Phone being exciting and new in a smart way, and highlights some of the special features that Nokia bring to the table for the platform, stressing the audio hardware (and accessories like the Monster headphones).
