Chrync synchronises Chrome to your Windows Phone

Published by at

Here's a novel little utility for Windows Phone users who aren't quite so loyal to Microsoft on the desktop. If, like me, you use the Chrome browser on your Mac or Windows PC but you use Windows Phone for mobile, note that this new utility, Chrync, syncs your bookmarks, recently opened web pages and even (to a degree) your currently open Chrome browser tabs, all down to the phone for easy loading up in Internet Explorer.

Note that there's no sync with Internet Explorer itself, Chrync simply gives you data access to the essential parameters of Chrome on the desktop, from where you can load pages up as needed using the default Windows Phone web browser.

You don’t have to install any special Chrome add-in for it to work, and the only servers Chrync talks to are Google’s own servers, to authenticate and then to sync. Chrync talks to Google’s servers using the native Chrome sync protocol, exactly as Chrome itself does.

Although the author is charging a couple of pounds for it, there is an unlimited trial, so give it a go for as long as you want - there's no time-out. Chrync is available from the marketplace here.
