On opening the app user can choose between "journey planner" and the new "transport nearby" options. Transport nearby lists nearby public transport stops / stations. Tapping on a station name lists, where available, departure times, together with the type of the type of public transport, available from that station.
Also new in this version is the ability to change you search (both from and to) in the journey view. This make it easier to assess multiple transport options and avoid unnecessary back steps. In addition, the apps' overall performance has been improved, with faster display of upcoming journeys and faster processing of journey requests.
The beta version of Nokia Public Transport (known as Nokia Transport or Nokia Transit in some markets) is available for the Nokia Lumia 610, 710, 800 and 900.
