SPB TV takes publicly available free-to-air channels and optimises them for mobile usage, before presenting them in a sanitised, integrated and easy to use interface. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this approach, but don't expect to see all your favourite channels, or indeed many (if any) of your national broadcaster's channels.
That's not to say you will not find something to watch - there's a very broad range of interests represented here - but it's also fair to say that many of the channels are running low quality programming, or very specific niche interest content. However, there should be something for everyone; some highlights include Showcase Comedy, France 24, Euronews, NASA TV, BBC Arabic and MTV Online.
The app is ad supported, with an interstitial add displayed for around 15 seconds when loading or switching TV channels. The app's interface makes it easy to switch between channels and the picture-in-picture functionality shows a preview of channel before switching, which makes for easier channels surfing. Channels can also be, optionally, pinned to the Start Screen allowing for quick access to your favourite channels.
