Note+ can be pinned to the start screen allowing instant access, faster than you pick up a pencil and find a piece of paper. There's also support for an (optional) Live Tile, which flips to show the first few words of the current note.
While the core Note+ experience is very simple the app's settings allow for a great deal of customisation. You can switch between character and word count, lock the app to portrait orientation, change the theme (text, background and highlight colours), switch text correction on or off, and control UI elements (system tray, toolbar, lock screen).
The app design adheres closely to the Metro design language and it's clear the developer has spent a lot of time getting the small details right, from the app's icon to the layout of the settings pages. As you might expect from a minimalist approach, app performance in excellent, with fluid transitions, fast app switching support and a fast load time.
Note+ is ideal for those looking for an ultra-simple note take experience. The app can be considered the digital equivalent of a single sheet of paper sitting on a desk. That's a common scenario for many people, perhaps far more so that multi page, categorised approach taken by more advanced note taking apps.
