361 Degrees Podcast - "Chipset brands"

Published by at

In the tenth and final episode of season three of the 361 Degrees podcast, following Ewan's visit to Qualcomm's Uplinq event in San Diego, we talk about the rise of the chipset brand and whether it matters if a device has an "Intel Inside" or a "Snapdragon".

Episode description:

In the final episode of season 3 we pause, briefly, to celebrate and then talk about Qualcomm's Uplinq event and the rise of the 'chipset brand'. Does it matter if a device has 'Intel Inside' or a 'Snapdragon'?

Note: Nokia's Symbian devices have used numerous different mobile chipsets / SoCs over the years (ST Ericsson, Texas Instrument etc.), but so far every Windows Phone device has been powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon branded chipset / SoC.
