Create your own version of Top Gear's Cool Wall

Published by at

Following on from the publication of the Top Gear app by BBC Worldwide, comes the Cool Wall app, which lets you create your own digital version of one of TopGear's most hotly debated regular sections. As a bonus you can also view a digital version of the original TopGear Cool Wall.

For those who don't know the cool wall sees Top Gear's presenters placing images of cars on a wall, with their position determined by how "cool" the car is. At one end of the wall there's "seriously uncool", at the other "sub-zero". Of course much of the appeal is that what makes a car "cool" is highly subjective and can lead to some heated debates.

The app includes photos for more than 300 cars, plus information on top speed, power, 0-60, and a comment from the TopGear presenters (available by tapping on a picture on the Cool Wall). If the car you want to add isn't available, you can add it, provided you have a suitable image and the appropriate details to hand. Once you've perfected your own Cool Wall you can save an image of it to your phone, or share it with friends via social networks.

As an added extra there's also a Video Cool Wall feature. This draws on video clips from the TopGear TV show and magazine. This isn't really a proper Cool Wall, as you're limited to the relatively small number of videos provided by the app, but it's a worthy extra to include with the app.

Cool Wall is a cool pub app, and the perfect companion to the TopGear app. A recommended download for any fan of TopGear or car enthusiast.

Marketplace description:

Using over 300 cars, you can place the cars where you think they should be on the Cool Wall. If your favourite car's missing, you can even add it into the mix. Just take a photo, input the name and stats and place it on your wall. All the images of the cars are complete with stats.

Cool Wall can be downloaded from the Windows Phone Marketplace for free.
