Windows Phone Dev Center video guide

In this Channel 9 video Microsoft's Ash Wahi offers a 25 minute video guide to the recently updated Windows Phone Dev Center. The video walks through both the new additions and the updates to existing functionality, giving developers an inside track on the changes to the platform used to publish apps for Windows Phone devices.

Dev Center

As we noted in our original story the Windows Phone Dev Center is an upgrade and rebrand from App Hub:

Microsoft's Windows Phone developer portal has been updated and renamed from App Hub to Windows Phone Dev Center. The update sees a new streamlined design, support for more markets (both submission and distribution), improved reports and analytics, and deeper integration with MSDN resources (documentation, SDK, educational resources).

The update to the Windows Phone developer portal comes ahead of the release of Windows Phone 8 and puts in place much of the necessary support structure for the next version of the Windows Phone platform. For example, the reports and analytics section now include a page for in-app purchases. In-app purchases are supported by Windows Phone 8, but are not available for Windows Phone 7.5.

The video is drawn from the regular Inside Windows Phone video series, the content of which includes interviews with developers, technical guides and product walk throughs.
