Pandoodle, from Baid Bean Games, is a beautifully implemented and polished puzzle game that challenges you to paint your way to success. Combining puzzle and drawing game play elements, it's a free game download you wont want to miss.

In Pandoodle the objective is to paint every object with its target colour. Objects are painted by drawing a paint line from a paint source to an object. In some cases, where the source and object colour are the same, this can be a direct line. However, for some objects it it necessary to create a new colour by mixing two colours together. This is done by painting across the line of another colour, mixing the paints, and thus creating a new colour. For example, crossing a yellow paint line over a blue paint line will create a green paint line. 

An additional caveat is that the amount of paint available from a source is limited, which means only a certain length of line can be painted from each source. Because of this, and the colour mixing effect, the order in which you paint the lines becomes important, especially on the harder levels.

Currently, Pandoodle has 75 levels to work through, divided into three worlds, but the developer notes that there are more coming soon. Each of the worlds has different mechanics (game play elements), which help keep the game fresh. For example, cat world introduces mirrors, which, when passed through, will duplicate brush strokes.

What impresses about Pandoodle is the attention to detail. For example, in-game instructions and illustrations ensure a gentle learning curve for any level of gamer, an undo tool makes it easy to correct unintended mistakes, and a sensible scoring system rewards finesse and encourages repeat play.

Pandoodle is a lovingly crafted game and should delight any puzzle fan, but we'd also recommend it to a wider audience. So even if you don't usually take a look at puzzle games, this is one you should make an exception for. Highly recommended.
