The buzz around the event has been helped by a number of PR-style images surfacing over the weekend. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then an unofficial JPEG must be worth a lot of SEO and social media buzz both on the online news sites and in the pages of mainstream news outlets as well.
It's worth stressing that Nokia have yet to officially comment on the images.
Still, over a relatively slow weekend for tech news -- partly due to the Labor Day holiday in America -- I think the Nokia and Microsoft PR teams must be pretty confident that people with an interest in smartphones are now aware they have something to show them later this week.
