The Air France app has four main sections: Bookings (upcoming travel and flight status), Prepare a trip (flight planning), Flying blue (loyalty program), and Contact us (customer support).
In the Prepare a trip section of the Air France app you can plan a journey to, or from, any city served by Air France KLM. Once you have found the flight(s) you want, you can buy a ticket, with the booking information automatically stored within the app (Bookings section). You can also add an already purchased ticket by entering a booking code (or eticket number / loyalty card number) and traveller surname. Upcoming flight information is summarised on tiles shown on the opening screen of the app's main panorama.
The app can be used to check into any flight, and there's also an option to check in a group (useful when travelling with family). When checking in you're given the option to choose your seat (including the option to upgrade to "Seat Plus"). For flights to or from Europe, North Africa and Israel, you can opt to receive your boarding pass in the form of a bar code. This can be presented instead of a paper boarding card at security checkpoints and when boarding the plane.
The app also allows to check real-time flight information. This makes it easy to keep up to date with flight delays, strikes and cancellations, whether you are flying yourself, or collecting someone from the airport.
