One for our readers in the San Francisco / Silicon Valley area now, as developer Ivo Manolov updates his Caltrain application for Windows Phone. The update to v1.8 brings the new fare schedule into the application, along with the new Caltrain route map artwork.

From the marketplace listing:

• See train schedules between any two Caltrain stations.
• See train schedules for any future and past date.
• See train schedules for any station at any time of the day.
• See train fares.
• See trains within the next hour (in green).
• See trains with extra bike cars.
• See live train schedule updates and news.
• See the Caltrain service map.

It's worth stressing that this app is unofficial, but I suspect it makes use of the the official Caltrain data provided through GTFS. It's still an impressive application that provides a service in a clean and easy to navigate environment, and one that is perfectly suited to a mobile environment.
