The roll out of a minor, Nokia supplied, software update (firmware version: 1066.0000.8779.12340) for the Lumia 610 has commenced. The update brings improved camera performance, most notably when using the Camera Extras features, as well as the usual generic performance and usability improvements. The update is a one stage process, which should take about 15 minutes to complete.
As with other software updates, the new update for the Lumia 610 may not be universally available. This is due to the requirement for operator testing and certification.
The update is the second minor update to the Lumia 610. The next update for the device is likely to be the Windows Phone 7.8 update, which should be delivered before the end of the year.
