Nokia Music app gets minor update to version 3.5

Published by at

One of the applications that Nokia use to differentiate their Windows Phone handsets is Nokia Music, and it has picked up a small update, taking it to v3.5. There are a number of small performance improvements, but no obvious feature updates. However, it is likely that this version silently adds support for Windows Phone 8.

Nokia Music's key feature is Mix Radio, which provides free streaming music across a series of mixes (playlists). Mixes can be downloaded for offline listening, and pinned to the Start Screen for easy access. Nokia Music also includes gig finder functionality for finding live music events near a specified location.

Discover a world of music and local gigs with Nokia Music. With hours of online listening choose mixes from our music experts, recommendations based on artists you love, or created from your personal music profile. You can even choose mixes to listen to offline. Play your own music, download new mp3s or find the latest gigs nearby.

Nokia Music, in supported markets, is pre-installed on most Nokia Lumia devices. However, if the app has been uninstalled, or is not present, it can also be downloaded from the Nokia collection in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
