Nokia's Michelin Guide on special offer till end of 2012

Gourmet food lovers with a Lumia smartphone might want to have a look at the latest offer in the Nokia Collection of the Windows Store. Michelin's notable Restaurant Guide is now on offer for $3.99 / £2.99, a price cut from the previous $12.49 / £10.49. The lower price is available until the end of 2012.

The app was also recently updated with some Windows Phone 8 only functionality, including integration with Nokia Drive (directions to restaurants), Live Tile support (shows nearest restaurant), lockscreen integration, the ability share a restaurants details, and quick access to a restaurants listing by tapping the Michelin sticker at restaurants venues.

The last two of these new features are enabled by NFC. Michelin, working in partnership with Nokia has distributed a new set of Michelin signs / panels, that have an embedded NFC chip, to participating restaurants. In addition to bringing up the data sheet for the restaurant in the Michelin app, the NHFC tags are also being used to promote special offers and related marketing campaigns

It's not completely clear from the text, but this guide is for Western European countries only, everywhere else in the world will have to hold on a little bit longer.
