Nokia's launch of the Lumia 920 was marred a little by their OIS demo video being assumed to be from an actual device and proved later to be from a professional camcorder - happily, one enterprising user has attempted to shoot more or less the same scene himself from his Lumia 920. The result is nice and smooth 1080p footage, embedded below. The assumption is that real 920 footage wasn't used for the demo video because the latter was prepared too far in advance of fully working hardware.

He proves you don’t need a cameraman in a big white van to get the exact same – or even better – result we all saw in the “official” video that brought Nokia so much PR and headaches.

I think this s a job quite well done, although I think one probably shouldn’t whistle at girls on a bike ;-) and this girl doesn’t seem to be very comfortable riding her bike with one hand. Probably not grown up with it, whatever. I Love to share this and will still try to make my own version as well!

You'll want to maximise the video, by the way, and up the quality to 1080p, for best results!
