Crystalines, a recent addition to the Windows Phone Store, offers a diverting variant of the "jewel matching" style of game, which was popularised by Bejeweled series of game, and originated in the DOS game Shariki. The game is played on a 9x9 grid on which various crystals appear at random locations. The aim of the game is remove crystals by forming horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines of at least five crystals of the same type.

Crystals can be moved around the grid, provided, there's an open route to do so. Crystals are added to the grid three at a time, in random locations, on every turn, except when a five-in-a-line match is made. The game finishes when the board is filled with crystals and no more moves are possible.

As is typical for this type of game there's a soothing background music track and cute sound effects. The graphics are also decent and any experience puzzle gamer will immediately feel right at home.
