Mobile-Review has an in depth review, in Russian, of the Windows Phone 7.5 powered Alcatel One Touch View, which was first back in October. The device is manufactured by Chinese company TCL, with the branding a marketing remnant from an earlier joint venture.
The One Touch View has a 4 inch IPS LCD WVGA (480x800) display, a single-core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a 5 megapixel main camera, and a 1500 mAh battery. The handset goes on sale in Russia tomorrow (December 15), with a recommended retail price of 6990 Rubles (£140).
Mobile-Review.com see the handset competing against low cost Android devices and we agree. There's a lot of life left in Windows Phone 7.5 devices, especially at the low end of the market, more so when you consider the Windows Phone 7.8 update is on the way early nexy year.
Alcatel Russia / TCL has kicked off the marketing campaign for the handset by uploading the video embedded below to YouTube. It's light on details on the handset, offering a riff on Microsoft's people centric marketing message, but does show that it will be available in multiple colours, something that seems to becoming something of a theme for Windows Phone handsets.
