Microsoft's OSX client updated for improved data handling

Published by at

Microsoft's client for the Mac OSX range of computers has received a small update to 3.0.1. The main update of note is for the issue that was seeing some users experience a crashing app, but there are also improvements to a number of data handling sections of the app, including iPhone, music, and remote directories.

Here's the changelog from Apple's app store listing:

  • Fixed app crashing issue for certain customers
  • Updated directions/documentation for granting access to remote folders
  • Improved data selection capabilities
  • Improved acquisition of album art for Windows Phone 8 devices
  • General bug fixes

OSX Windows Phone update

While it might not look much, the Windows Phone connector for OSX is just as functional as Microsoft's offering for Windows 8, and in some circumstances (ahem, podcast support) the OSX client is superior. It's certainly my connection suite of choice for the Lumia 820. And while it can't hold a candle to the flexibility and functionality of the Zune PC Suite, in my opinion it's the best option for Windows Phone 8 users.

That it can sync with my Zune HD is a bonus.

You can fund the app and the latest update in the OSX App Store from Apple.
