With the world's smartphone industry about to descend on Barcelona for the annual Mobile World Congress event, the organisers are releasing their official mobile application. Joining the Android and iOS clients, for the first time, is a client for Windows Phone handsets.

Available as a free download from the Windows Store, the app includes:

• full event schedule
• speaker listings
• exhibitor listing
• social networking
• venue maps
• complete info booth

The application is also designed to work offline as much as possible. Given the huge concentration of mobile devices in a small area, this is a very sensible design decision. We're sure that Rafe is going to enjoy using the app when he reports for 'All About' on the ground in Barcelona.
