Evernote's WP users are more profitable than Android users

Speaking at Business Insider's 'Ignition' mobile conference, Evernote's CTO Dave Engberg talked about mobile platforms and how not every user is equal (reports Citeworld). Specifically he talked about the average revenue per Evernote user on Windows Phone and Android, and Microsoft's platform, and how WP users are better for Evernote's bottom line.

Of course Android still has the volume play, which acts as a significant multipler on lower revenue numbers, but their Windows Phone app has been a success.

Engberg also said that Evernote is seeing increasing usage of its Windows Phone app -- and more important, that people on that platform use it quite often and buy extra services. "The average revenue per user is more than it is for Android." He called Windows Phone revenue "modest, but worth the effort" and said it was "solidly in third place" - ahead of BlackBerry.

Figures like this need to reach a much wider audience. Portraying Windows Phone users as valuable users is a valid PR strategy, especially to developers where income is everything. Quotes like this should be jumped on by Microsoft and their partners and promoted as hard as possible.
