I hadn't heard of Uoobe's video channel before, but looks like The Phones Show has some competition, with Ava at Uoobe producing a number of interesting long form videos in recent months. Notably, as noticed by MNB, a stills and video comparison between the Nokia Lumia 920 (presumably with the 'Portico' update), the Apple iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III. Apart from a few issues over colour saturation, it's fair to say that the Lumia 920 swept the board in the comparisons. Well worth a watch if you have 10 minutes free - embedded below.

The video covers:

• the ease of gripping the phones and taking photos
• stabilisation for stills and video
• low light photos and videos

Make sure you maximise the playback window and also its quality, by clicking on the little gearwheel icon and choosing 720p or 1080p....

It's clear that Ava is a Lumia 920 fan (and possibly of Windows Phone too), with the tests being slightly biased towards the 920's strengths. Having said that, these are all very valid use cases and the differences between output from the three flagship smartphones are very evident in the video.

With rumours still circulating of a genuine Nokia camera flagship smartphone coming in 2013, it's still impressive to see the 920 'smoking' the opposition.

PS. I suspect that Symbian was considered too old for Ava, since the Nokia 808 PureView wasn't even mentioned in this roundup.
