Blood and Tiffin' with Nokia and Xbox Live

Published by at

It's Wednesday, so it's time for an Xbox Live release. And if you're on a Nokia Lumia handset, you have two more to choose from, as the exclusive partnership with EA serves up another pair of titles in the shape of 'Vampire Rush' and 'Storm in a Teacup'.

Vampire Rush

This is a rather colourful twist on the Tower Defence style of gaming. You have all the tropes of the game, with waves of zombies heading towards a gate (that they must not reach), money to earn by killing them, and then building towers with the spoils of combat. But as well as the towers, you (playing the 'swashbuckling Greg') get to run around with your sword to take out the zombies in one on one combat.

Yes it's Tower Defence meets Double Dragon!

Storm In A Teacup

With a more cutesy look, Cobra Mobile's platform is a very British affair, with you inside a teacup, roaming around the landscape looking for sugar cubes. With left/right touch screen controls (and a jump key), there very little pushing of the envelope on show here, with basic graphics and level design, and a frame rate that is noticeably less than smooth.

Both titles come with a trial version, and you can download them directly from your handset. Head to the Windows Store on your handset and visit either the Xbox Live or Nokia Collection category.
