Nokia and Microsoft are holding a Windows Phone Dev Camps on Saturday April 13th and May 11th in London. The events, which are free to attend, will provide an introduction to Windows Phone for developers who are "hearing lots about Windows Phone, but perhaps haven't built their first application yet". It's ideally suited to existing iOS, Android, and BlackBerry developers who want to know more about creating apps and games for Lumia devices.

Here's how the event is described on its Eventbrite page:

We’ll have a number of short, snappy sessions to introduce the phone devices and development platform and tools and the major things that you need to know about in developing for Windows Phone – we’ll talk about storage, networking, user experience, and working with the core Phone functionality like using the camera, sensors, mapping and so on.

We’ll also have hands-on labs so if you prefer to take a hands-on approach there’ll be some labs that you can work through and someone there to help you along if you get stuck.

The day kicks off with welcome & coffee followed by a "design" and user experience session for all attendees. In the main area, presentations run with many demos to walk through the key features of application development and app submission to the store. In side rooms and workspace areas, attendees can choose to run through any of a selection of hands-on labs, with assistance if required from proctors. The day is rounded off with a short wrap-up, awarding of spot prizes and a chance for immediate feedback.

More details including a full time table and registration details are available on this Eventbrite page for the April event and this page for the May event.
