WordPress client picks up visual editor

Published by at

The official Wordpress client for Windows Phone has been updated to version 2.1, and while this is just a 'point' jump, it's one that makes the it much easier to compose entries, giving you a 'wysiwsg' visual editor option alongside the regular html text editor for composing your posts and pages.

This is the sort of update that can add one or two starts to a review score, because it really makes the application far more accessible for the general population. The assumption that I make is that anyone who installs WordPress on their own server and is using a mobile client for most of the work is component enough to write posts in HTML... but that's a very small percentage of the WordPress user base. For everyone else, I think I can finally recommend this client!

In my book that should have been a jump up to at least v2.5, but this is just the next tenth up.
