1TapPin is a small utility app that lets you save (bookmark) a location with a single tap, and, with another tap, pin that place to the homescreen of your Windows Phone device. It's able to to achieve this single tap user interaction by virtue of the fact it automatically saves (bookmarks / pins) the current location when you open the app. 

Once a location has been pinned there are options to "Pin to Home" (pin to Start screen), to edit the name of the current pin, and to attach a photo to the current pin (only available in the full version of the app). Previously saved pins can be viewed by tapping the "Pins" button, with the ability to view pins as a time sorted thumbnail list, or via a map view.

There are a number of existing Windows Phone app that include location boomarking functionality, including Nokia's HERE Maps and Location Finder, but 1TapPin stands out for its simplicty and single tap user interaction.

1TapPin is the first Windows Phone release from 1Tapps, a company that specialises in producing simple single function "one tap" apps for iOS. This heritage is very much present in 1TapPin, with the same "quick and easy" philosophy that has proved popular with users of Apple's mobile products.

If you regularly find yourself needing to save a location quickly and painlessly, especially those of a temporary nature (e.g. a car parking spot), then the app is well worth checking out.
