Never miss a BART train again with BARTT

BARRT stands for the Bay Area Real Time Transit, and the app for the frequent traveller on the municipal light rail system in California has picked up a new version with extra features and information feeds to help the BART riders with a Windows Phone handset.

This new update bumps the version number up to 2.0, and alongside the new features there are some changes to the UI to accommodate them. Here's the full change log:

  • Search for Nearby Stations.
  • Add Searched Stations to favorites.
  • Service Advisories and Latest News.
  • Contact Information.
  • Updated UI to accommodate these new features.

BARTT fits in with the look and feel of Windows Phone, with a number of live tile options that can be set to receive push notifications of transit information so you can stay up to date with the next trains to arrive and route details.

The app is geared towards users based in the San Francisco Bay, and who are regular users of the BART system. Certainly there is some value here for the tourist visiting the city and surrounding area, but they might be better off with another app, such as SF Bart.

You can download BARTT via the AAWP App Directory.
