On first launch, you might think that this is little more than a web page wrapper, as the app opens up a browser instance to navigate the SVT archive along with a visible URL bar at the bottom of the screen. It's when you start to watch a video that the real work is done by the app, as it decodes and plays the SVT format streaming video file, rather than using the built in Windows Phone video player.
It's also worth noting that the content is not exclusively geo-locked to Sweden, I was able to pick up a number of news programmes, special event programming, and the latest of Borgen while sitting here in Scotland. Some content, notably movies, will be tied to Swedish viewers, but it's worth checking out if you have a favourite Swedish program.
