Europe's largest airlines Lufthanasa has released a mobile app for Windows Phone, allowing users to follow the whole process of flying on their handset - from purchasing a ticket and checking in, to monitoring the flight status and carrying a digital boarding pass - can be found here.

Features from the German flag carrier's app include:

• Booking.
• Flight status.
• Timetable.
• Mobile boarding passes.
• Flight status via push message.
• Direct access to the Lufthansa mobile website.

Much of this information might be available on the mobile website, but putting it into an application makes it much easier for users to get to - it also allows Lufthansa to take advantage of the full Windows Phone experience, including live tiles and smooth animation throughout the app.

The features list isn't staying at this level, as they are seeking feedback on what else they could add for the app - just use the feedback option that is also available.
