American retailer Wallgreens recently updated their Windows Phone app. Through the app you can access a number of online features from the popular retailer, including picture printing and prescription services.

It ties in with a user's online Wallgreens account, and is well integrated with the Windows Phone environment. For example your Wallgreens loyalty card will appear in the WP Wallet application, you can use the camera to scan barcodes to renew any medical prescriptions you might have, and the app will alert you when you need more medication to be ordered.

You can also make use of their photo printing service by sending images from your phone to the Wallgreens picture counter for printing and collection later. And you have a store locator as well.

Finally the Wallgreens app does support deep linking into your favourite app service through a live tile, and it has hooked into Windows Phone 8's voice recognition system to open up the app, or a feature inside the app.
