You have to rely on that one explosion catching a ball, which will in turn explode. If it catches another ball as it moves, another explosion, and another, and that's where the chain reaction comes in. One single strategic explosion could take out the whole screen.
It might seem completely random at first, but as you work through over 80 levels, you'll start to build up a feel where you need to place the explosion to get the greatest effect. It's perfectly suited to a lazy summer afternoon, with just the right balance of skill and bouncing colours to relax you.
