The secrets behind Ragdoll Run

Published by at

Ragdoll Run is one of many 'infinite runners' you can find in the Windows Phone Store, but it's one that the team here at AAWP have enjoyed playing (you can read our review here). Developed by Dawnbreak Studios, the two man team from Sweden have spoken to Fortumoblog on 'creating their chart-buster'.

The title has recently added a Windows 8 version alongside the Windows Phone 8 version, and the question about the choice of platform is in the interview, along with questions on porting time, development challenges, how Ragdoll Run earns money, and what comes next.

The idea for Ragdoll Run came a few weeks after Papa Joe was released in the summer of 2012, we launched the game about 4 months later. It’s hard to say how many work hours went into it as we never worked on it full time due to other jobs. But the development process has never really stopped – we did not expect the game to become so popular so we have released a lot of updates for the game with new features and characters. So you could say that the game has been in development more or less until now.
