Twist and turn to connect the colours in Tile Path

Published by at

Quirky 'puzzle against the clock' block game Tile Path has been updated to version 1.6 with a number of bug fixes and improved handling of the online scoreboard.

Tile Path asks you to place down tiles (made up various numbers of small squares) that is one of four different colours. With these tiles you need to link the colours at the side of the board to each other - at which point you'll score for the link, and every tile of that colour that is connected is remove.

It's a nice bit of topographical puzzling, as you can easily block the routes available to you if you're not thinking ahead.

Throw in a five levels of difficulty, a three minute 'challenge' mode, and a global high score table for the later, and you have a really nice app where you can measure yourself against your previous scores, and the rest of the world.

One touch I did like was the ability to flip the screen layout for left and right handedness, and the fact the game does not restrict itself to the seven 'tetris' shapes, but adds to the expected shapes to make you really think again about packing the tiles in.
