The four tips/tricks demonstrated are:
- Zoom like never before - concentrating on re-zooming and reframing, with a really cute example
- Shutter speed control - showing how you can vary this up even to 4 seconds - watch what gets created!
- 'Powerful Xenon flash' - using a spinning globe to illustrate how the Xenon flash freezes even quick motion in precise detail
- Nokia Pro Camera and its tutorial - looking at changing focus manually, ISO, etc. plus a look at the rather cool interactive tutorial
Here's the video then, maximise it and max the quality if you can, as usual:
Nice work, Jason. The 'tutorial' section inside Nokia Pro Camera is part of a modern (and very welcome) trend on all mobile platforms* to make more of a smartphone's biggest assets (e.g. the large touchscreen) to help the user learn and be more productive. Yes, the 'interaction' in the tutorial is somewhat pre-programmed, but it certainly beats twenty pages in a paper manual.
* I've noticed this in Samsung and HTC Android devices too - this isn't Nokia's invention, per se, but it's great that its Windows Phone applications are also becoming more and more friendly to novice users.
