Slide the tiles to make the patterns in Dicube

Published by at

DiCube is a variant on the 'Fifteen' sliding puzzle game, with just a hint of Picross added into the mix.

Players are asked to make a coloured shape anywhere in the game grid by sliding the blocks around (with the help of a single gap in the tiles so you can slide the tiles around). The shapes are illustrated in the bottom corner of the game screen, and while early levels are simple blocks of colour, more intricate patterns will soon be offered to you.

Oh and it's against the clock as well, and you know that the time pressure is going to kick in as the game works through to the higher levels.

The demo offers you two levels, which is just enough to understand the game mechanics of DiCube, but not enough to decide if the level of challenge on offer is going to be a good fit for you. My gut feel is that five or six more levels in the trial version would help with the conversions from trial to paid.

That wrinkle aside, DiCube has enough on show to get me interested, and I think there's a lot of appeal in the title.

You can download the trial version via the All About Windows Phone app directory.
